Dr. Neena Garg, an obstetrics and gynecology trainee at Dewsbury District Hospital in the United Kingdom, discovered that a gastric band can prevent essential nutrients from reaching both the mother and baby during pregnancy and also contribute to morning sickness.
Dr. Garg advises pregnant women to inform their doctors if they have had Lap-Band surgery so they can receive proper care during pregnancy.
