In 2011, I started this blog to document a weight loss journey (hence the former name 300 Pounds Down).   But this blog became so much more.  It was a place to share not only my trials and tribulations with food and weight but also my struggles with anxiety, depression and being a single parent.

My life has been a search for the solution to many of these issues.  And it certainly seemed at times that I had tried it all. I often felt conflicted as to why some of these issues persisted in spite of  spiritual beliefs or faith.

I’m thankful for the insights that have led me to find peace not just with food but many other areas of life.  It’s not that I no longer struggle or have bad days.   In fact, it’s totally the opposite.  I do still struggle at times with these issues and have bad days.  I’ve just found a way to live through these circumstances while still experiencing a deep knowing that I am ok.  And so are you.
